About me

I grew up feeling glimmers before I had a word for it —light filtered through trees, the plants and small creatures I found in my dad’s garden, a creek running through a campsite that seemed magical to my young mind. Often, a story would take shape in my head while my hands were busy flipping on the monkey bars or bouncing a ball.

Today, I use painting, drawing, and printmaking to explore moments that feel like glimmers in the way they catch my attention. I spent a decade working as a landscape architect, and that time still informs my work: my images tell stories through people, animals, plants and landscapes through all of their seasons and across scales. Tiny textural details and full scenes are both intriguing to me, and often show up in the same piece. Every piece, to me, is both a place and a story.

In addition to my personal painting projects, I work on commissions, murals, and illustration projects, and sell my work at markets and soon through my online shop (stay tuned)! I also teach classes.
