Seasons + Cycles
Child’s bedroom mural—residential commission
This mural was painted for a child’s bedroom across two walls, approximately 15’x12’ each. The design follows the arc of a northern forest from night into day—one wall holds the deep quiet of a nighttime scene, scattered with constellations, while the other opens into the warm light of daytime.
The cast of characters includes an arctic fox, an owl, a chickadee, a red squirrel, and a rabbit—each tucked into the landscape as if they’ve always lived there, waiting to be found.
The name Seasons + Cycles reflects the way the mural moves through time—from dark to light, from stillness to activity—mirroring the rhythms a child grows up noticing in the natural world.
